Can I live with 900,000 won in Daejeon, Soth Korea?
I have already taken a look at some questions in Yahoo Answers about cost of living in Korea, but unfortunately almost all of them are about life in Seoul, and it is about Language teachers who do not pay for rents and tend to have a bachelor lifestyle with lots of clubbing and fun expenses..., so I thought I'd better ask my question...
I have got an scholarship of 900,000 won per month, and I don't know if I can live with that in Daejeon or not...since I am married I can not stay in hostel and I have to rent a small apartment...we don't have any children, we can cook at home and we wont need to buy a car, I don't expect to pay much on cloths, shopping, dining out, nightlife, etc...either. So do you think we can have a normal life with that money? if not, how much more will we need?
P.S. I understand that "Cost of living" questions are always difficult to answer and anyone who answers the question, has to be very descriptive. to save you from that, I suggest you just tell me how much does a simple worker earn in Korea? for instance a cashier at chain store or a non-skilled worker in a Car wash...that can help me to figure out minimum cost of living in Korea.
Thanks a lot in advance.
